What Will The Top PGA Players Wear At Augusta National This Year?
With the Masters right around the corner, the best golfers in the world are revealing their outfits for the tournament.
Every year golfers put their best fashion-foot forward when at Augusta and they do not disappoint. The annual scripting will only heat up from here, Nike usually announcers all their golfers at the same time. Two of the worlds top names have already unveiled their outfits in a quest for a green jacket.
Here is a look at what Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler will wear during the 2017 competition at Augusta National:
Jordan Spieth (Under Armour)
Jordan Spieth was the first, when he showed the world a not so surprising line up for Augusta.
His script is fitting for a defending Masters champ, as he tees it up on Thursday with a green shirt, along with his new signature shoe. After that for rounds two, three and four he wears the traditional navy blue, white, grey combo we are so used to seeing him in.
Expect him to complete his look every day with Under Armour’s Match Play Pant and Drive Shoe. Saturday’s pant even has a subtle denim texture. Spieth will end the tournament in his traditional Sunday blue shirt.
Rickie Fowler (Puma Golf)
Rickie Fowler, one of the PGA Tour’s best dressed golfers, is going with a very unique look, thanks to Puma.
For round one of the tournament Fowler will be sporting “Flagstick Camo.” A camouflage pattern Puma designed for Fowler and the shapes are all inspired by the greens at Augusta. This camouflage will be on his pants, polo and hat during the first round. But his bag will be covered in the camo all week, a not so traditional look, but a good one. The other three outfits are classic Fowler. Sporting bright colors and stripes and his signature high top Puma spikes.
Dustin Johnson (Adidas Golf)
We are accustomed to seeing Dustin Johnson rockin’ classic styles with modern and athletic touches, so it is no surprise to see Adidas outfitting him in their Performance Polo with a contrasting placket and collar and the latest high tech fabric. The new mineral blue color that DJ will be wearing on Friday is the best of the bunch. It sits between two of the trendiest hues of the season, navy and teal.
Rory McIlroy (Nike Golf)
If Rory McIlroy captures his first Green Jacket and completes the career Grand Slam, he will do so in Nike Golf’s bold new polos with a new-age blade collar design. Four pairs of custom Lunar Control 4 shoes will provide the only splashes of color to a script that is otherwise dominated by 50 shades of grey. Rory’s kits seem bleak, but this neutral palette could serve as a perfect backdrop for a green jacket.
Now we have to sit back and wait to see what the other guys do. It is almost a given that some of the Tours best dressed includes Billy Horschel, Smylie Kaufman and Justin Thomas.
The biggest fashion question of this years Masters is if we will see Tiger Woods in a golf polo on the course or just a suit at the champions dinner.
