LPGA Will Wear Antigua Apparel During Founders Cup
The Bank of Hope Founder’s Cup this week is a mass parade of Antigua styles. Eleven of the LPGA pros will be performing in Antigua Wear – Stacy Lewis, Lizette Salas, Gerina Piller, Brittany Lang, Alison Walshe, Amy Anderson, Kris Tamulis, Alena Sharp, Austin Ernst, Candie Kung, Kim Kaufman and Dana Finkelstein. Antigua’s designer for women, Danielle Dellios and team will be fitting the known members on the USA Solheim Cup team for their Antigua outfits. This has been a perennial honor for Antigua to sponsor the American team in the prestigious Solheim Cup event. But that is another whole story.
Antigua Wear once again is supplying the apparel for the volunteers and LPGA staff at the Founder’s Cup held at Wildfire Golf Club at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. Volunteers will be donning the very popular short sleeve Exceed shirt in solid Celtic Green for both men and women. 100% polyester micro-flat pique Desert Dry™ Xtra-Lite D²XL moisture fabric will be perfect for the warm Arizona forecast set to hit the 90s. Many groups of volunteers are required to pull off a tournament event with a chairperson for each who juggles the schedules and personalities. They merit the Antigua Merit shirt in white/silver this year. Men and women’s versions of this polo include contrast piping artistically placed on the shoulders, around the collar and side seams.
The LPGA staff will be wearing the Jewel in White and Cabana, which is a favorite in the LPGA ranks. Some like the short sleeves and some like the sleeveless option of Jewel. Mulberry is their distinguishing color, a shade of purple that can shout or whisper spring. Staff members also have the option of these short sleeve polos in the mulberry color.
The ladies’ Accelerate style incorporates heather on the front and back panels while Praise has an elegant tonal jacquard pattern with an open V-neck.
Array employs pointelle mesh jacquard with a zip placket for women and a button placket for men along with an added contrast taping on their shoulder lines. Strand for men is a classic mini stripe polo while Sustain for men has a bold solid strip with contrast piping from the collar down the sleeve for a physique enhancing contoured fit over a heather bodice. Streak is another bold shirt for men, two toned, with top and bottom contrast. Last but not least, Orbit mixes a heather mini stripe with tonal heather insets for a soft touch.
Like so many sports organizations, the LPGA knows that it can bank on Antigua for quality, good-looking performance apparel. WHAT'S YOUR REACTION?
