The new brand of men’s golf apparel Devereux had a soft launch at the PGA Expo in Las Vegas last August and already has generated comment by industry professionals for their modern styling, upbeat colors and attention to detail.
Devereux is the creative product of the brothers Robert and Will Brunner both avid golfers and believers in producing premium menswear for the avid golfer that matches his lifestyle while keeping him in-style and authentic. The clean modern styling of their pieces first of all is designed to fit properly and tailored for workdays and weekends with a sophisticated everyday elegance.
Robert Brunner, “We understand the fashion challenges faced by men today, because we feel them too. Whether out on the course or out on the town, you want proper threads.” Brunner added, “We went looking for clothes that could bridge the gap between modern men’s fashion and progressive golf styles, but we came back empty-handed. So we set out to create what we could not find – the stuff legends are made of.”
Inspiration for Brunner to design Devereux came from the game’s great players and great dressers Hogan, Palmer, and Player.
Devereux uses a blend of pima cotton and polyester for the best characteristics of both fibers including easy care. The sweater knits are a pima cotton-baby alpaca blend showing a luster when worn and providing warmth when needed.
In tribute to some of the great golfers of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, Devereux has developed a signature pocket that offers a unique, abstract shape. This signature pocket can be found on the Brunner and Welch golf shirts from the Spring 2014 Collection.
