Kaenon, the sunglasses maker based in Newport Beach, Calif., has three new styles for this season and all feature their proprietary Polarized SR-91 lens.
KAT-i could be straight out of the 1950’s. It has that movie starlet or pin-up girllook and anyone can tell instantly these are not men’s sunglasses or even unisex models. They are too feminine and certainly are stylish in a classic way. The KAT-i has subtle cats eye detailing at the upper frame corners with the mid-sized arms and flexible temple tips making them comfortable to wear all day. The Kat-i carries a suggested retail of $229 and for an additional charge may be made with prescription lenses.
Driver ($319) looks somewhat like a traditional aviator style. It is mid-sized and has a curved frame made from a lightweight metal alloy. The adjustable nose pads are hypoallergenic and the Driver is the first model from Kaenon to use the Brown 12 Polarized lens for a medium color contrast. It may be purchased with prescription lenses.
The Ballmer also has a traditional aviator look but with a slight differences in style and a very nice updated metal frame. It’s designed to fit a wide range of face shapes and sizes and is available in prescription. Suggested retail is $319.
